Rocky the Robot - a clever name which puns on both his function and on Robby - looks like being one of the "must have" toys for younger children this Christmas and possibly beyond.

What Is Rocky?

Rocky is a bright yellow "robot" dumper truck made by Mattel Matchbox. The company describes Rocky as being "A real working dump truck with a winning personality".

As a dump truck Rocky can move around on his six wheels and dump out the contents of his skip. Sensors mean he's also able to recognise when you load him up and react accordingly. He can dance, speak and even tell jokes and snore! According to the advert his load release action can be voice activated.

Rocky is aimed at kids aged three and up and uses four C type batteries. You can buy Rocky online and at various stores.
